Lying

"What's the big deal about a little lie?
It's not as if I killed anybody...."
But any lie is a very big deal to God because God is truth. Truth is an integral part of his nature. Even a small, seemingly inconsequential lie is an infringement on the truth-and thereby a violation against God himself.
