In today's society, "shacking up" has moved from scandalous to socially acceptable. Living together before marriage has somehow become the "responsible thing to do."
Besides, who goes to a movie without checking the preview first? Sadly, the preview you get from living together does not accurately depict a committed marriage.
It doesn't come close. In fact, any benefits of living together get short-circuited because real security is only found in real commitment. When you move in together, you have everything to lose and nothing to gain.
Ask yourself:What's stopping me from making a lifetime commitment?
-True Identity Bible
To me, making a commitment is the first thing God wants us to do here on earth because committing means loving.
First, it's making a commitment & giving our lives to Jesus & living for him daily. And second, it's making a commitment by saying "I do" to the one we know God sent to us.
If you truly love them you will make a commitment to them & say, "Yes".

{Exodus 22:16-17}
16 “If a man seduces a virgin who is not engaged to anyone and has sex with her, he must pay the customary bride price and marry her.
17 But if her father refuses to let him marry her, the man must still pay him an amount equal to the bride price of a virgin.
